Maqssoud's Journey

MAQSSOUD HAS ARRIVED!!! He is now safe and sound on Canadian soil. After two long flights, he arrived at Pearson airport shortly after 7pm on Wednesday evening. On hand to greet him were his sister, Hanna Azizi, her husband, Fazul, Steve Dow and Sharon Fraser. Shortly before Maqssoud left for the airport in Islamabad, the Pakistan authorities came to the place where he was living and took three other refugees who were living there. Fortunately, Maqssoud was not inside. Thanks be to God for keeping him safe!

Maqssoud is in the middle with his sister, Hanna and brother-in-law Fazul.

Maqssoud is settling in well with his sister and her family.  He has been assessed for English classes and is currently having to make the decision as to whether he will take them online or in person.  Some levels are offered at Blossom Park in Woodstock but other levels are in London.
